Apple backported a fix for actively exploited CoreGraphics zero-day CVE-2026-86950 to older iPhones and iPads as emergency remediation widened elsewhere. CISA added exploited Google Brotli and Adobe Commerce flaws to its KEV catalog, two PHP2Shell vulnerabilities remain under active attack, and SafePay has compromised more than 600 critical-infrastructure organizations. Cryptocurrency incidents have also produced an estimated $2.35 billion in net losses this year.
CVE-2026-86950 affects CoreGraphics and has been used against specifically targeted Apple users. Apple addressed the flaw with improved bounds checking in iOS and iPadOS 18.7.11, extending protection to older devices, while CISA’s KEV listing adds urgency for organizations managing supported Apple hardware.
Attackers continue to capitalize on exposed systems, reusable credentials and delayed remediation. The Magento flaw reportedly compromised at least 953 stores, PHP2Shell activity included scans of roughly 19,000 firewalls, and SafePay combined credential attacks, vulnerable VPNs and known flaws. Internet-facing commerce, PHP and remote-access infrastructure merit immediate review.

Editorial: Recommended Actions

01
PRIORITY
Apple device administrators should deploy iOS and iPadOS 18.7.11 to older supported iPhones and iPads immediately, and apply Apple’s available fixes to affected newer iOS, iPadOS, and macOS systems. CVE-2026-86950 is actively exploited, and CISA has added the CoreGraphics flaw to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog; prioritize devices used by personnel at elevated risk of targeted attacks.
02
PRIORITY
Patch affected Google Brotli and Adobe Commerce or Magento deployments for CVE-2026-111497 and CVE-2026-48356, prioritizing internet-facing e-commerce and Node.js systems. CISA lists both flaws as exploited; Brotli memory corruption may enable remote code execution, while the Magento file-upload flaw was reportedly used against at least 953 stores. Examine affected systems for unauthorized loaders or attacker-controlled payload execution.
03
PRIORITY
Upgrade PHP deployments affected by CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 to PHP 8.5.12, 8.4.27, 8.3.36, or 8.2.35, using available source backports where necessary. Give Apache systems running mod_php immediate attention because qualifying deployments may be exploitable with one request. Both PHP2Shell flaws are actively exploited and listed in CISA’s KEV catalog; isolate systems that cannot be patched promptly.
04
PRIORITY
F5 BIG-IP administrators should identify APM 17.1, 17.5, and 21.1 systems using qualifying OAuth configurations and install the applicable fixed build or F5 engineering hotfix. CVE-2026-94127 can permit unauthenticated remote code execution under those conditions, is reportedly under active exploitation, and appears in CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog.
05
PRIORITY
Apply Oracle’s available fixes to internet-facing E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft systems, prioritizing CVE-2026-101767 and CVE-2026-35273. Attackers are probing the E-Business Suite flaw, while ShinyHunters reportedly used the three-vulnerability PeopleSoft chain against more than 100 organizations and deployed web shells. Review exposed Oracle systems for unauthorized web shells and evidence of access even if patches are already installed.
